AECP-Irresistible Inking Techniques

Hello friends and welcome to another assignment! Today I’m sharing a card with you for the AECP Irresistible Inking Techniques course. This class shared great ideas for using inks in creative ways and I was inspired to dust off my Gelli Plate for some ink printing.

I love using a brayer to create fun textures for my art journal pages, but never thought to use it in card backgrounds 🙂

I used the plastic plate to create the background for this card. I inked up the plate with Altenew inks that come in four gradients and they are really easy to mix and match as well. The inks are also suitable for water coloring. I used a brayer to even out the ink and get a nice ombre blend.

I cut my panel to 4” by 5.25” I used a sheet from the Watercolor Coloring Book from Altenew.

It was so fun playing with the inks. I can use the inks to create my own colored background, color the images with it( if it’s a watercolor reactive), and stamp with it.

I hope you like it and get inspired! Check all the classes here
