A Home Sweet Home collection inspired me to create this altered canvas. I remembered when I was a little kid, I used to visit my grandmother in her ranch. She used to dry the cloth over a rope. I really loved to watch her doing that .. Rest in Peace Grandma
To start off the canvas
1- I choose the main paper (lady drying the clothes on the rope) to be the center of my project.
2- I choose 2 other papers to cover the four edges of the canvas.
3- After placing all my papers in the right place, I used G45 washi tape in gloss gold to adhered them. Definitely you can youse glue to adhere the papers then add the washi tape for an extra touch of texture
4- I mixed white modeling paste with black and blue acrylic paint to use it with the stencil
5- I sprayed the wooden branches with acrylic paint in gold color then adhered them to the top and bottom of the canvas.
6- I stacked several flowers and die-cuts on the branches to create a unique look of depth
— I made a video tutorial for the handmade flower using G45 dies
7- because I always love adding different textures to my projects, I used a stencil with shimmer paste to make some raised patterns.
This project is so easy and does not time to create. I hope you like my project as much as I do. Home sweet home collection took me to Egypt 20 years ago.
