Hello crafty friends!
I did not prepare my canvas with Gesso however you can do that! Oil pastel is really easy to blend so I did not need to gesso the canvas. I chose brown and blue to highlight the entire edges of the canvas then blended them using the blending tool which is easier than using a tissue. For my centerpiece, its prima stamp called Free Spirit. I stamped and colored it with Schmincke watercolor. I fussy cut it and mount it using cardboard. I added also foam tape to stick the feathers. I scattered tiny feathers around her.For the word fly, I sued wood letters by Prima. I colored them using oil pastel and glued them. I used Prima 3D gel to glue my beads which I scattered them in the top corners. Finally, I used Prima acrylic paint to give a sparkly touch to all the edge of my canvas. For the entire canvas, I tried to stick to the colors that I highlighted the canvas which is blues and browns
Here is a close-up picture to see more details of the embellishments like the flowers which I added on top of her flower to add some dimension!
Also, the beads give a beauty and texture to the artwork! Looks beautiful!
